PRODUCT STORY
Introducing the Carlton Football Club 2024 Women’s Replica Indigenous Guernsey. Designed by Indigenous artist, Stewart James (Wiradjuri Man, Narrandera Murrumbidgee River People), the artwork represents the significant relationships of Indigenous players, past and present.
Carlton’s current players are represented in the artwork through their unique totems and symbols. The spiralling patterns that surround the player totems and symbols represent the rivers and waterways that flow past the communities these players come from. The swirling lines featured throughout the artwork represent the connection between everything and everyone - the players, families, fans, and clubs! All of us. “Ngiyanhi!”
You can purchase this guernsey to wear during the Sir Doug Nicholls Round (F.K.A. the Indigenous Round), which celebrates and highlights the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to the game of AFL. Stand with Carlton and celebrate a history that has been enriched and defined by players of various backgrounds, particularly the Indigenous peoples whose ties to the land date back 65,000 years. Own a piece of history with the Carlton Football Club 2024 Women’s Indigenous Guernsey and let your pride show.
